Caitlyn joined the team at 127 Energy to provide research and development support throughout 127 Energy’s range of professional services. Caitlyn is involved in all aspects of project development and leads several endeavors for the company including market expansion, sales and project proposals, and preliminary site design. Several years of working while traveling the world sparked Caitlyn’s passion and enthusiasm for helping to shape the global perspective of our clean energy future. Caitlyn holds a B.A. in History from Colorado College. |
Chris Choppin

Chris Choppin joined the 127 Energy team in 2021 to help accelerate the transition to renewable energy in the US. A long-time advocate for fighting climate change, Chris wants to bring about a shift in the way we produce and consume energy. He is currently involved in all aspects of project development services offered by 127 Energy, including customer outreach and market research. Previously, Chris worked in the Environmental Services industry, doing stream and wetland restoration. Chris studied at Tulane University, where he earned a dual Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Spanish. He was born and raised in the greater DC area. |
Derek Abt

With a passion for creating a lasting positive impact in the world, Derek began his work with 127 Energy in 2021, bringing 4 years of residential and commercial solar experience in sales and development to the team. Derek enjoys meeting people through his work and developing strong, mutually beneficial relationships built on respect and authenticity, bringing light-heartedness and fun to the workspace. Beyond his dedication to positive global change, Derek has a strong passion for music and the outdoors, and graduated as Top Senior Marketing Student from Fort Lewis College in 2016. |
Emma Martignoni

Emma joined the 127 Energy team in the summer of 2020 to help facilitate positive long-term changes for the environment, a cause she is very passionate about. Emma's work at 127 Energy includes cutting edge research involving vehicle-to-grid (V2G) projects and battery storage inverter technologies. She is a Magill-Rhoads Scholar and currently working to get her undergraduate degree from Haverford College where she is concentrating her studies in peace, justice, and human rights. Emma was born and raised in the greater Boston area. |
Kathy Loftus

A founding Steering Committee member for the U.S. DOE’s Better Buildings Alliance, and of the EPA’s GreenChill Program, Kathy is well-versed in sustainable leadership. For 14 years, she was a leader of sustainability and social responsibility for Whole Foods Market, where she innovated in many areas within the built environment, waste & packaging, and education, marketing & communication. Having also worked as Director of Energy & Environmental Management for Shaw's Supermarkets, Kathy was named one of Progressive Grocer's Top Women in Grocery in 2013 and was elected one of Massachusetts’ High Tech Council’s Women to Watch in 2012. She has keynoted and presented at many national and international sustainability, energy and retail conferences, and has guest-lectured at many universities and colleges. She is now the Vice President Of Business Development at e2s energy efficiency services LLC. |

Liz handles finance and operations management for 127 Energy. With a varied background in small business administration, project management, and the environmental sciences, Liz brings a well-rounded perspective to the 127 Energy team. Liz has experience with private sector, non-profit, and government organizations and works to ensure smooth operations between project participants. Liz holds a BA from Boston University and an MS from the Johns Hopkins University In Environmental Science and Policy. |
Mark Crowdis

Mark has a leading role in driving renewable energy investments at 127 Energy from sourcing deals to strategic direction. He began his career in renewable energy in 1997 by identifying, planning and launching a new business line for Green Mountain Energy. He then founded Think Energy, Inc. in 2000 building on his years of experience in the energy and environmental sectors and ran the company until it was acquired by CohnReznick LLP. Having successfully developed and managed new portfolios of renewable energy products on more than 1 gigawatt of projects, Mark has direct insight on the retail and wholesale electricity markets and has leveraged that knowledge when helping clients define, acquire and implement renewable energy systems. He holds a B.A. in History from University of California- Davis and a M.S. from the Johns Hopkins University in Environmental Science and Policy. |
Pierre Moses

President
Pierre has more than 13 years of experience in clean energy finance and project development and leads company operations at 127 Energy. His project expertise includes public and private portfolios of distributed generation assets and solar plus storage microgrids. Prior to 127 Energy, Pierre worked as a Senior Associate at IronOak Energy, a transaction and advisory firm helping infrastructure investors source, underwrite, and execute on solar PV and energy storage investment opportunities. Early in his career, Pierre was the founder and director of Make It Right Solar, a for-profit subsidiary of Brad Pitt’s Make It Right Foundation where he structured and completed more than 250 solar PV projects, of which 130 were certified LEED Platinum. Pierre holds a BS from the College of Charleston and an MBA from Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business where he is an adjunct lecturer and board member of the Tulane Energy Institute. |
